Birth Photography

There is nothing quite like the moment your baby enters the world. I am here to document every raw, powerful and tender moment of your birth story, allowing you to be fully present, knowing nothing will be missed.

Hi, I'm Elise and I can't wait to meet you.

I’m a mother of two, and it was through my own births that I discovered just how powerful and transformative birth can be. Those experiences led me to birth photography, where I found deep meaning in documenting and sharing real stories. I’m passionate about capturing birth in its most honest, undisturbed form. I don’t stage or direct, I quietly witness each moment as it naturally unfolds, with calm presence and deep respect for your space and choices. For me, this work is about more than images. It’s about preserving the strength, vulnerability, and connection of your story, so you can return to it, just as it is, again and again. Your birth story matters, and it deserves to be remembered.

FAQ

How do I let you know when labour starts?

As soon as labour begins, even in the early stages, send me a text so I can be alert and ready. I’ll check in with you as things progress and we’ll work out together when it’s the right time for me to head your way. Every labour is different, and I’d always rather leave early and wait in the car park than miss your birth. If things feel like they’re moving quickly, call me and I’ll be on my way.

When do you arrive?

I aim to arrive as labour is intensifying, typically when contractions are strong and regular and you’re feeling like you really need support around you. Staying in communication from the start of labour means we can time this well together.

What if my labour is very fast?

Fast labours happen! If things escalate quickly, call me immediately, please don’t wait. I’ll leave as soon as I hear from you. In the rare event I don’t make it in time, I’ll be in touch with you as soon as possible to talk through what we can do.

What if my labour is very long?

I will stay with you through active labour, birth, and 1–2 hours postpartum regardless of how long that takes. If early labour is very prolonged, we’ll keep in communication and I’ll join you when the time is right so I can be fully present for the most important moments.

What if I need a caesarean?

If an unplanned caesarean becomes necessary, I will stay with you for as long as the hospital allows. Many birth centres and hospitals permit a support person and photographer in theatre, we can discuss this in your consultation so you know what to expect at your chosen birth place.

What if you have an emergency on the day?

In the event of a genuine emergency or illness, I will do everything in my power to find a qualified photographer to attend in my place and will contact you immediately.

What happens if two of your clients go into labour at the same time?

I limit my bookings carefully so overlapping due dates are minimal. In the rare event of a clash, I will contact you immediately and do everything I can to ensure you have coverage.

When will I receive my photos?

You’ll receive a sneak peek of a small selection of images within 48 hours. Your full edited gallery of 150–250 images will be delivered within 4–6 weeks via a private online gallery.
